Help
Questions founders ask before they start.
Can multiple writers on my team use the same ARC Lab workspace?
Each account uses a single login, so a small team can technically share one. New Storyteller accounts include one active persona. Team subscriptions are not available.
What exactly is ARC Lab?
ARC Lab is the writing tool built by The Story ARC. It helps you save high-performing video references, break down their structure, and turn those patterns into scripts in your own voice or your client's voice.
How is this different from ChatGPT or other writing tools?
Most writing tools start from a blank prompt. ARC Lab starts from a real reference: a video, script, or piece of content with a structure worth studying. Instead of inventing from scratch, you give it a proven pattern to work from.
Can I try ARC Lab before paying?
Yes. Eligible new accounts start Storyteller with a 7-day trial (card required at signup). After the trial, Storyteller is $49/month unless you cancel. The full terms and monthly allowances are on the pricing page.
Do I need the Chrome extension?
The Chrome extension makes saving references instant, especially from Instagram. You can also add URLs manually inside the app.
How long does it take to go from a reference to a finished script?
Fast. ARC Lab analyzes a reference in about a minute, then generates guided questions tailored to it. Answer those (or paste your own notes, or use voice dictation), and it drafts a full script in about a minute more — so you can go from a saved reference to a first draft in just a few minutes.
How do I get support?
Email help@arc-lab.io and include the page or workflow you were using. We can usually help fastest if you mention the client, reference, or script involved.
Do I need to know what kind of content I want to make before I start?
Not at all. When you join, a short questionnaire helps ARC Lab understand your business, audience, and voice — then it suggests the kinds of content that fit you. You can fine-tune those preferences anytime in Settings, so it's easy to start even if you're still figuring out your direction.
